Kultured Wellness White Christmas
A White Christmas (Even in the Australian Heat)
There’s something deeply nostalgic about a true White Christmas.
For me, it wasn't a movie scene, it was standing under the Northern Lights, wrapped in winter layers, completely immersed in what Christmas felt like on the other side of the world.
That feeling is what inspired this recipe.
This Kultured Wellness White Christmas is cooling, grounding, gently sweet, and deeply nourishing. The kind of festive food that feels indulgent without tipping your nervous system, blood sugar, or gut into chaos.
And yes… it looks beautiful on a grazing table too.
Why This Isn’t Just Another Christmas Treat
Most “White Christmas” recipes are:
-
Loaded with refined sugar
-
Heavy on dairy
-
Designed to spike energy, then crash it so you want MORE!
This version is different:
✔ Fermented cranberries to support digestion and reduce the sugar
✔ Healthy fats for stable energy and nervous system regulation and brain function
✔ Dairy-free + gluten-free
✔ Cooling and anti-inflammatory (perfect for an Aussie summer Christmas)
Perfect For:
-
Christmas grazing boards
-
Bring-a-plate gatherings
-
A calm festive dessert that won’t derail your energy
-
Making ahead when life is full (because… December)
Kultured Wellness White Christmas
Ingredients
-
1 cup shredded coconut
-
1 cup macadamias
-
¼ cup Kultured Wellness Coconut Yoghurt
-
⅓ cup coconut oil, melted
-
⅓ cup pistachios, chopped
-
⅓ cup dried unsweetened cranberries
-
½ cup Kultured Wellness Coconut Kefir
-
Stevia or sweetener to taste
-
½ tsp vanilla powder
Using cultured foods here isn’t optional, it’s what makes this slice gut-supportive rather than just “healthy-ish”.
Method (Simple, No-Bake, Stress-Free)
Step 1: Ferment the cranberries
Place cranberries and coconut kefir into an airtight jar.
Leave on the bench for 2 days to gently ferment.
Step 2: Strain & dry
Strain cranberries using a stainless steel strainer for 20–30 minutes.
For a drier texture, place on paper towel in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
Step 3: Create the base
In a food processor, combine:
-
Shredded coconut
-
Macadamias
-
Vanilla powder
-
Sweetener
Blend until a crumbly texture forms.
Step 4: Bring it together
Add:
-
Melted coconut oil
-
Coconut yoghurt
-
Pistachios
-
Fermented cranberries
Blend until evenly combined.
Step 5: Set & chill
Line a small slice tin with baking paper.
Press mixture into a 1cm thick layer.
Refrigerate until set.
Serve cold and keep stored in the fridge.
A Nervous-System Friendly Christmas Treat
This is the kind of recipe I love sharing at this time of year , not because it’s “perfect,” but because it’s intentional.
Food doesn’t have to push harder, stimulate more, or demand willpower.
It can:
-
Support your gut
-
Keep blood sugar stable
-
Help you feel calm, clear, and present
Even during the busiest season of the year.
