Blissful Berry Ice Blocks

Some days only something cold, sweet, and creamy will do. These Blissful Berry Ice Blocks are that thing, and the fact that they're also probiotic-rich and packed with antioxidants is just a very happy bonus.

Four ingredients, a blender, and a set of silicone moulds is all you need. Make them the night before and you'll have a gut-loving frozen treat ready to go whenever the craving hits.

Why these ice blocks are different

Most store-bought ice blocks are little more than sugar, flavouring, and food colouring. These ones do something entirely different:

  • Berries deliver a broad spectrum of antioxidants that support cellular health and reduce inflammation. Choose organic where you can, as berries are among the most heavily sprayed fruits.
  • Coconut yoghurt made from your Kultured Wellness Starter provides a therapeutic dose of probiotics that actively repopulate the gut with beneficial bacteria.
  • Vanilla and cinnamon add warmth and depth. Cinnamon in particular has well-documented anti-inflammatory and blood-sugar-stabilising properties.

The result is a treat your gut actually welcomes.

Blissful Berry Ice Blocks recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (or a single berry of your choice such as blueberry, raspberry or strawberry). Organic if possible, as berries are often heavily sprayed with pesticides.
  • 1 cup homemade coconut yoghurt made from your Kultured Wellness Starter
  • ½ tsp 100% pure vanilla bean powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (organic if you can, for maximum nutrient density)

Method

  1. Blend or mix. Combine all ingredients in a blender for a smooth, puréed result, or mix by hand if you prefer the berries left whole and chunky.
  2. Pour into moulds. Spoon or pour the mixture into silicone ice block moulds.
  3. Freeze overnight. Freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight. Serve straight from the freezer.
